Deep Green Wilderness Summer Marine Science and Sailing Programs – Scholarship Available!
Deep Green Wilderness, Inc. owns and operates the historic sailboat Orion as a floating classroom for students of all ages. They offer a variety of programs designed to introduce students to the thrill of classic sailing and encourage stewardship of the marine and coastal landscapes of the Pacific Northwest.
Deep Green Wilderness is happy to announce late arriving scholarship funds for this summer’s upcoming teen (ages 14-18) marine science and sailing programs.
Join the crew for an exciting two-week voyage sailing through the stunning San Juan Islands of the Salish Sea for only $700!
During their time aboard the beautiful 64’ sailing vessel Orion, students not only get first hand experience sailing, they also get to develop and carry out their own scientific research project on the Salish Sea and learn how environmental policy is vital to the protection of this unique ecosystem.
