Technical Advisory Panel (TAP) Members
The NOSB takes great pride in its scientific content and challenging questions for each year of competition. Therefore, it is necessary to ask scholars, scientists, and teachers to serve on a Technical Advisory Panel (TAP) to participate in the question review process.
The Technical Advisory Panel is composed of approximately 15 ocean scientists, university-level educators and high school teachers to provide overall guidance and advice to the development of the NOSB competitions. Specifically, the Panel provides technical oversight on changes to the competition format and the preparation of competition questions. The Panel is divided into 5 subjects and includes those with expertise in their respective fields:
- Physical Oceanography
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Geography, Geology, Technology
- Marine Policy, Social Sciences.
Each panel meets once in Washington, D.C. at the National office between October and December of a given school year.
If you are interested in participating on a Technical Advisory Panel, please contact the National Office at 202-232-3900 or nosb [at] oceanleadership [dot] org.
